Lois R. Gradert, 80, of Geneseo, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Hammond-Henry Hospital Long Term Care Unit. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 10:00 am Monday, September 12, 2011 at Vandemore Funeral Home Ltd, Geneseo. Rev. Dr. Arthur Bergren will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation for Lois will be from 5 – 7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Lois Gradert Memorial Fund.
Lois was born on April 13, 1931 in South Bend, IN the daughter of Raymond and Irene (Wright) Milner. She was a graduate of Geneseo High School. Lois was united in marriage to Donald R. Gradert on September 19, 1948 in Geneseo. She was a member to several bridge clubs.
Survivors include her husband Donald, two sons Brad & David Gradert both of Geneseo; a granddaughter Danielle Gradert, Moline; sisters-in-law Bessie Weber, Helen Gradert, Elizabeth Gradert all of Geneseo, Uncle & Aunt Joe & Nellie Wright, Geneseo, cousin Naida Moburg, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers-in-law.
