After the death of Doris, he was married to Alta Marie Andrews Waterbury on May 1, 1971 in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. She is buried in Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Kyle and Doris were parents of three children: Marlys Ellen Stoner married Wayne Howard Badger; Daryl Edward Stoner married Crystal Louise Reece and he is buried in this cemetery; Donald Eugene Stoner buried in this cemetery.

~0bit~Kyle Edward Stoner, 85, a resident of Waterloo, Iowa, and former resident of Buchanan County, Iowa, died on Thursday, August 28, 1986 at his home in Waterloo, Iowa. He was born October 1, 1900 in Fayette County, the son of Daniel B. Stoner and Stella Hatch Stoner. He was united in marriage to Doris Matilda Hoover, on November 3, 1923, in Independence, Iowa and then he was united in marriage to Maria Waterbury on May 1, 1971. She also preceded him in death in 1982. Mr. Stoner had been employed by Buchanan County doing maintenance and bridge repair for 14 years. He grew up in Otterville and had lived in Walker, Iowa, Center Point, Iowa, Palo, Iowa and Winthrop, Iowa besides living in Waterloo, Iowa. Survivors are one son, Daryl Stoner, and one daughter, Mrs. Marlys Badger, both of Waterloo, Iowa; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Stoner and Lou Stoner, both of Independence, Iowa;
three sisters, Vernice Roster, Jesup, Iowa; Velma Kinniman, of Manteno, Illinois; and Lorena Jewel, of Princeton, Illinois. He is also survived by two step-daughters, LaVere Goodsen, Marion, Iowa and Geraldine Cady, Palo, Iowa and four step-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; both wives; four brothers; three sisters and one son, Donald Richard, in infancy. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 30, 1986 at 2 p.m. at White Funeral Home, Independence, Iowa. Officiating minister was Rev. Robert D. Stanford. Special music was "Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers were Dean Hoover, Dwight Stoner, Norman Stoner, Robert Roster, and Daniel Stoner. Burial was in Hoover Circle Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were by White Funeral Home, in Independence.
