~0bit~Daryl Edward Stoner, 70, of Hanna Blvd., Waterloo, Iowa died on Saturday, June 16, 2001 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home from lung cancer. Daryl was born October 7, 1930, the son of Kyle Edward and Doris Matilda (Hoover) Stoner. Daryl graduated from Walker High School at Walker, Iowa. He was married to Crystal Louise Reece on April 2, 1949 at Central Christian Church in Waterloo, Iowa. Daryl worked for Rath Packing Company for 31 1/2 years and then the University of Northern Iowa for 13 1/2 years where he was Director of Plant Services. Daryl was a member of Grace Reformed Church and a member of Waterloo Elks Lodge #280. Daryl is survived by his wife, a son, Kenneth and his wife Ann Stoner of Cedar Falls, daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Steve Judas of Waterloo, and son, Alan and his wife, Elizabeth Stoner of Ann Arbor, Michigan, 6 grand- children; 2 step-grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and a sister, Marlys and her husband, Wayne Badger of Waterloo. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Donald Stoner. The family has requested memorials may be directed to Grace Reformed Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
