Marsh D. Knopsnyder, 60, Melcroft, died unexpectedly at 4:30 a. m. at his home.

He was born in Bullskin Township near Acme on July 1, 1900, a son of the late Irwin and Minerva Snyder Knopsnyder, and had lived near Acme and at Melcroft all his life. He was a coal miner, employed for the past 37 years by the Eastern Gas and Fuel Co. at Melcroft. He was a member of Local No. 6872, U.M.W.A., and The Mount Zion E.U. B. Church near Acme.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Grace Richter Knopsnyder; a son, Kenneth of Indiana, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. E. S. (Helen) Bundorf of Acme R.D. 1, and Mrs. Vincent (Garnet) Kikta of Washington, D.C.; three gandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John (Goldie) Adams of Mount Pleasant, and a half sister, Mrs. Bertha Kinneer of Kokomo, Ind. He was preceded in death by two infant sons.

The body will be at the Brooks funeral home at Indian Head after 11 a.m. Sunday. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. G. Marion Smith officiating. Internment will be in the Eutsey Cemetery near White Post Office.
