Goldie C. Adams, 96, of the Masonic Home, Elizabethtown, formerly of Star Route, Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, June 13, 1993, in the Lancaster General Hospital. She was born May 24, 1897, in White, Saltlick Twp., a daughter of the late Irvin and Minerva Snyder Knopsnyder.

She was a member of the Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren, where she was involved in church activities. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Sears Roebuck in Greensburg. She was a graduate of the California State Teachers College and also had been a school teacher in the Saltlick and Bullskin School Districts.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, John W. Adams, in 1964; four sisters, Mary Coffman, Bertha Kineer, Viola Grimm and Mabel Kuhns; and a brother, Marsh Knopsnyder. She is survived by her son, Dr. Willard D. Adams of Irwin; four grandchildren, Diane Simmons of Level Green, Michael S. Adams of Johnstown, Sarah Elizabeth Adams and Katherine Halene Adams, both of Irwin; four great-grandchildren; two nieces, Helen Bundorf of Acme and Garnet Kikta of Berlin, Md.; and six nephews, Kenneth Knopsnyder of Indiana, Pa., Vernon Coffman of White, Wilbert Coffman of New Mexico, Paul Kineer of Manor, Oscar Pritts and John R. Pritts, both of Champion.

Friends will be received in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery
