She was preceded in death by her parents, Josh and Myrtle Nix; and son, Robert Keith Bryant.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clarence M. "Hap" Bryant; and son, Clarence M. "Skip" Bryant Jr.; and eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother; and four sisters.
Shirley was a resident of Alabama City and inherited the toughest job in the Navy by marrying an enlisted man in the USN-Seabees.
She was a Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother and a dedicated ambassador for her family and the Navy Seabees.
Visitation will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. The family visitation will be from 1 to 1:30 p.m. today; friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Graveside services to follow at 3 p.m. at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Southside.
