William Siebenaler Passes at Home Here
William F. Sibenaler, 80, a resident of Fort Benton since 1945 and retired businessman, died at his home in this city Monday morning. He had been in poor health for some time.
William M. Siebenaler was born May 12, 1893, at Hastings, Minn. He enlisted in the army corps of engineers at Fort Snelling, Minn., Feb. 23, 1918. He served four years of which 18 months were spent in France and England. After discharge from service he attended American Business College, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He entered the lumber business and remained in this profession until his retirement on June 1, 1958.
He was married to Elizabeth Anglesburg at Shakopee, Minn., Nov. 9, 1921. They came to Montana in 1936 and to Fort Benton in 1945.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the 4th degree of Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW, and was active in civic affairs in Three Forks and Fort Benton until his retirement.
He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth; five children, Mrs. Florence Mau, Mrs. Julia Stevenson, both of Great Falls; Mrs. Genevieve Frieling, Warren and Lawrence Siebnaler, all of Fort Benton; one brother, John, Hastings, Minn.; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
