Catherine was the first-born child of Mathias and Maria Klasen Siebenaler. She married Anton Marschall in 1883 and they were the parents of 9 children. Catherine died as a result of a wagon accident while on their way to Mass in Shakopee. The runaway team threw her out of the wagon; she struck her head against a tree. The accident proved fatal. Catherine left nine children, ages 13 months to 18 years and her husband to mourn her loss. She was 39 years, 3 month, and 18 days at her death.
