Rev. Nolton Sharpe, 72, passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 1999.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Terry Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Orangeburg, SC.

He was born May 23, 1926, in North, SC. He was a son of the late Fletcher Sharpe and Fannie Mae Hutto Sharpe. He was pastor of Cana of Galilee Pentecostal Holiness Church. Rev. Sharpe was a self-employed contractor. He was a missionary worker in Haiti and Jamaica. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pauline (Phillips) Sharpe of Orangeburg; two daughters, Kathy Brockington of Orangeburg, SC and Jennifer Hildebrand of Summerville, SC. Three brothers, H.B. Sharpe of North, SC, Eleby Sharpe of North, SC and Major Sharpe of North, SC. Four sisters, Ester Gunter of Gilbert, SC, Thelma Craven of St. Stephens, SC, Shirley Williams and Lois Gleaton, both of North, SC. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
