Major Hillary Sharpe, 90, of North, South Carolina passed away on January 28, 2023.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home 4541 Savannah Highway North, SC 29112. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will follow at Sunny Vista Church of God Cemetery.

He was the son of the late Fletcher L. and Fannie Mae Hutto Sharpe and attended school in Livingston, South Carolina. He was married to Ruth C. Sharpe for 59 years and was a member Cornerstone Church of God in Orangeburg, SC. He was self-employed and enjoyed tinkering with scrap metal and antiques.

He is survived by his children: Barbara Sharpe, Harold (Cheryl) Sharpe, Albert (Belinda) Sharpe, and Chris (Eddy) Strickland. Grandchildren are: Jason (Cindy) Brinson, Amanda and Rebecca Strickland, Kayla (Ryan) Proctor, Tamara Snyder, Devin and Dustin Davis and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Lois Gleaton and Shirley Williams, brother-in-law Rudolph (Margaret) Carr, and sister-in-law Aleane Walls.

Major was predeceased by his wife Ruth C. Sharpe, grandson Chad E. Brinson, and siblings: Clinton, Nolton, Hilbert, Eleby, and Joseph Sharpe, Esther Gunter, Lillie Mae Williams, and Thelma Arnold.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunny Vista Church of God Cemetery Fund 3021 Drag Strip Rd, North, SC 29112 or Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle Missions Fund P.O. Box 1325 Orangeburg, SC 29116.
