George J. Meinke was born October 24, 1901 in Lancaster County, the son of George and Anna Maruhn Meinke.
He attended St. John's School in Kramer and later, District No. 72 School.
George and his sister, Minnie, made their home together in the Kramer Community, and he devoted his entire life to farming on the family farm where he was born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Louis (Elizabeth) Kahle and Miss Minnie Meinke, both of Crete, and Mrs. Herman (Martha) Masenthin of Dorchester; two brothers, Ferd Meinke of Crete and Gust Meinke of Lincoln, and several nieces and nephews.
