Robert Lutze, 79, who served the Town of Centerville as health officer for 20 years and assessor for eight years, died at four o'clock this morning at his home a short distance west of the village of Cleveland. He had suffered from a heart ailment for some time.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m., from the residence and at two o'clock at the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran church at Cleveland. The Rev. Martin A. Braun will officiate and burial will be in the Saxon cemetery. The body will be removed to the residence Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Lutze was born May 16, 1860 in the Town of Centerville. In 1885 he married Miss Emma Hauenstein. They operated a farm in Centerville until 1916 when they turned it over to their son, George and moved closer to the village of Cleveland. For many years Mr. Lutze was sexton of the Lutheran church.

Besides the widow, survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Oscar Marx of the Town of Herman, one son, George on the homestead; one brother, Gustave of Cleveland, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Emil Wagner, died 15 years ago.
