Mrs. Ella Marx, 75, of Cleveland, died Tuesday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital where she had been hospitalized four days. Born Dec. 15, 1891, in the Town of Centerville, a daughter of the late Robert and Emma Lutze, she attended district school and on June 7, 1914, married Oscar Marx of the Town of Herman at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in the Town of Centerville. The couple spent their entire married lives on a farm in the Town of Herman. After Mr. Marx's death in May, 1944, Mrs. Marx moved to Cleveland to live with her late mother. Mrs. Marx was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in the Town of Herman, and a former member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ervin L. (Adeline) Schmidt of rural Cleveland and Mrs. Ray H. (Gertrude) Hameister of Sheboygan; one son, Orval of rural Elkhart Lake; and nine grandchildren. One son, a sister and a brother preceded her in death.
Burial will be in the St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery in the town of Herman, with the Rev. E. L. Henning, pastor, officiating at the committal service.
