ANNIE was such a sweet soul,a one of a kind cat..I know she waits for me at the rainbow bridge.
Ann Disaster was born to Johnnie" no tail "( a beautiful grey fluff ball with no tail) and Isabella (a norweign forest cat) along with 4 siblings on March 16 2004.
My daughters named her Ann Disaster after a character in a BEN KWELLER song. I felt she was too sweet for such a name so I called her Annie.
2004 was a horrible year in SW Fla as we lived through 3 hurricanes(Charlie,Katrina and Wilma)Annie was affected by the loud noise, wind, rain etc. of the storms and hid in the bathtub any time it would rain (which it did alot in Naples)She was afriad of everyone except me.She became"my" cat she would lay on my lap anytime I sat down!
When we moved to NC I had my cats in carriers for the long 13 hr drive.I had Annie closest to me,they were quiet for awhile and then the symphony would start!Aurora would meow her whiney Meooow, then Moe would start his Mowmow and then Taz who had a loud murrr, finally Annie would start with her purrrrmew! This would continue on and off for the entire drive! It was cute and annoying all rolled into one,but now that 2 of those furbabies are gone I would give anything for Tazs murr and Annies purrrmew!!
Annie had no tail and she kind of hopped!I always thought she was part bunny!!
In 2008 my daughter Aly got a MaineCoon she named Gavin,Annie ,who never liked other cats fell in love with him!She treated him like "her" kitty. Around this time we fell into some "money"troubles as my husbands job was downsized and he was unemployed so we were unable to get Gavin or Annie fixed.
Dispite our attempts to keep them apart Annie got pregnant and because she was so small she could'nt deliver them. She tried and I could tell she was in trouble so I called the vet and rushed her in,she allowed me to wrap her up and hold her until we got there, she looked at me as if to say help me Mommy. The kittens were born premature Tiny was stillborn,Peanut and Bitty lived a few days. She was too weak to nurse them(of course they spayed her) I bottle fed them but they were just too small.
After her kittins died,Annie was never the same. She went back to hiding in the bath tub,she would still come to me but she even shyed away from Gavin. Her belly got real big and bloated,we were trying to get a diagnoses and going back to the vet this week, when the unthinkable happened.Annie let out a loud gasp,my son ran in to her and said mommy Annies dying,I ran in to her in time to hold her as she took her last breath,I rubbed her soft fur and told her I loved her.My husband arrived from picking my daughter up from her job...I started to scream and shake.I was not ready to let her go...I hope she knows how much I loved her.
That night Gavin slept by my head,he never does that,I think he was telling me ", I know Mommy I know."

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ROBERT DURAN FOR SPONSORING MY PRECIOUS ANNIE YOU ARE A DEAR MAN
