John's father was buried in the Haddock Plantation Family Cemetery along with his son William. John was a constable in Pitt County, NC. 1 & 3

He married Rhoda, daughter of William and Dinah Deale Taylor Jr. on May 4, 1766 in Pitt County, NC. She was his first cousin. They had five sons and three daughters. 2

According to census the children were all born in NC. They moved to Georgia and are buried there.
