U.S. Congressman. Born in Warrensburg, New York, he graduated from Warrensburg Academy, then engaged in the lumber, banking and the manufacturing business. He was a delegate to the Republican National Conventions, (1888, 92, 96) and a member of the New York State Senate, (1890-93). In 1899, he was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-sixth and Fifty-seventh Congresses, serving until 1903. After his final term, he resumed former business activities until his death at age 66 in Warrensburg, New York.
