Pete Hendrix passed away at 12:55 a.m. on Thursday, Sep. 1 2011 at the Hospice House of Harrison, AR. He was born December 20, 1920 at Point Peter, AR to his parents Wert and Gertie Hendrix.

Pete married Bernell McEntire from Point Peter on March 19, 1946. The two celebrated 60 years of marriage together until Bernell passed in May, 2006. Along with his wife, he was preceded by his 3 brothers: Belford Hendrix, Delford Hendrix, Thomas "Son" Hendrix, and Earl "Boy" Hendrix, along with his 3 sisters: Ethel Ruff, Edna Laymon, and Ida "Sister" Dean. He is survived by 3 siblings: Troy Hendrix, Hazel Hendrix, and Maudie Kiplinger, his 3 children: Jimmy Hendrix, Barbara Sue Reeves, and Neccy Seawel, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 5 great, great grandchildren.

During his life, Pete worked 58 years as a truck driver for Sutten Products until he retired at the age of 78 in 1998. In the years that past, he spent most of his time adventuring throughout Snowball and Richland doing what he loved best: metal detecting, four wheeling, and hiking out in the woods. Though we will miss his happy little face, storytelling, and his great sense of humor, we know that he leaves us to join Bernell and proceeding family and friends in the sky where we will see them again.
