Maudie worked hard all her life and retired from Tyson in 1999. She was a gardener, quilter and handmade many beautiful quilts. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always looked forward to decorations and holiday events.
Survivors include her daughters, Lissie Smith and husband, Jeff of Harrison and Leeann Lambert and husband Paul of Columbus, Kansas; five grandchildren, Bradley Smith (Meadow) of Harrison, Holly Richardson (Ryan) of Harrison, Brittany Marshall (Dezerae Wiebe) of Hollister, Missouri, Kaylee Lockhart of Columbus, Kansas and Cole McNair of Harrison; and two great-grandchildren, Keegan Richardson and Maudie Smith. Little Maudie is her namesake and she was very proud. Maudie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, W.E. and Gertie Hendrix; her husband, Dewey Arlin Kiplinger; six brothers, Delford Hendrix, Belford Hendrix, Thomas "Son" Hendrix, Pete Hendrix, Earl "Boy" Hendrix and Troy Hendrix and four sisters, Ethel Ruff, Ida "Sister" Dean, Edna Laymon and Hazel Hendrix.
Funeral services for Maudie will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 3rd, 2022 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Chris Wyatt officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 till 2:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will follow in Witts Springs Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as bearers.
