Clarence E. McGee, Retired Carpenter Dies June 30th

Clarence E. McGee, 85 years old, died at his home, 327 South Washington Street, Wednesday afternoon, June 30. He had been ill 14 years.

He was born in Monroe County, Indiana October 6, 1879, the son of Laura Butcher McGee and George McGee.

Mr. McGee was a member of the Spencer Baptist Church, and Marion Lodge No. 35, F. and A.M. of Indianapolis.

He was a retired cabinet maker and carpenter.

Funeral services were at two o'clock Saturday afternoon in the West and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. John S. Honeay, pastor of the Spencer Baptist Church, was the officiating minister.

Masonic graveside services were conducted preceding interment in Riverside Cemetery.

Survivors are his widow, Ruth Chambers McGee; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Fulk, Mrs. Lucille Weathers and Mrs. Vesta Benson, all of Phoenix, Arizonia; two stepsons, William Culross of Spencer and David Culross of Kokomo; five grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

One daughter Erma Olive McGee, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
