Death Calls Mrs. Zorn at age of 90 Years

On Wednesday morning at 1:30 Mrs. Johanna Zorn, one of the oldest residents of the town of New Holstein, was called to her reward at the home of her son, August. Death was due to infirmities of old age. She had been ill for 5 months. Mrs. Zorn, nee Deville, was born in Belgium, Europe, on February 10, 1835, and came to New York at the age of 18 years. In 1855 she was married to Nic. Zorn, who preceded her in death 28 years ago. Eleven children were born into their union of whom 2 died in infancy, and 2 sons passed away at the ages of 43 and 50. She was the oldest member of St. Anna's congregation, and has been a resident of the town of New Holstein for 70 years. The survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Anna Henke of Stanley, Mrs. Mich. Weiler of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Anton Claude of Seymour; four sons, Peter Zorn of Bellchester, Minn, John of Kansas City, Mo; Nic. of Russell; and August on the homestead in the town of New Holstein; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Rach of Osceola; 37 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Ann's Church, Rev. Schmitt officiating. The remains will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
