Nicholas R. Zorn, 85, of Elkhart Lake, passed away Friday afternoon following a lingering illness. He was born in the town of New Holstein on Dec. 6, 1867, the son of the late Nicholas and Johanna Zorn. On Nov. 26, 1891, he was married to St. Anna to Emma Mueller. The couple lived on a farm in the town of Russell until 1927 when they moved to their present home in Elkhart Lake.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Arthur J. of Catawba, Emil A of Plymouth, Frank A of Mr. Sterling, Ill., Alfred J. and Nicholas A. Jr. of Elkhart Lake; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, August, of the town of New Holstein. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Roeder Funeral Home, Elkhart Lake, and at St. George's Catholic Church. The Rev. John H. Goebel will be celebrant of the requiem high mass and burial will be made in St. Ann's Cemetery at St. Anna.
