Ruth was the wife of Tee Capps and the mother of two sons: M.L. and Charles. She was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Ruth was a sweet, gentle, soft spoken, and generous lady who always had a kind word for everyone.

MARION -- Mrs. Ruth Hunsucker Capps, 83, widow of William Wilton Capps, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at Marion Nursing Center after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 at the Chapel of Smith-Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Capps was born Feb. 11, 1920, in Marion County, a daughter of the late Maxie Leverne Hunsucker and the late Leila Cooper Hunsucker. Mrs. Capps was a homemaker. She was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Laurie Perry Sunday School Class and the WMU.

Surviving Mrs. Capps are a son, Charles W. Capps and his wife Sylvia of Marion; a grandson, Brian Christopher Capps of Marion; a great-grandson, Joshua Emanuel Christmas; and five brothers, Fred Hunsucker of Marion, Lee Hunsucker of Asheboro, N.C., Ed Hunsucker of Santee, George Hunsucker of Marion and Mack Hunsucker Jr. of Marion.

Mrs. Capps was predeceased by a son, M.L. Capps, and a brother, Roy Hunsucker.
