MARION - Mack Hunsucker, Jr., 76, died Monday, April 13, 2015 at Carolinas Hospital System of Marion. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Richardson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Florence National Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Hunsucker was born in Marion, a son of the late Maxie L. Hunsucker and Leila Cooper Hunsucker. He is also predeceased by a son, Mitchell Hunsucker; three brothers, Roy Hunsucker, Fred Hunsucker, and George Hunsucker; and sister, Ruth Hunsucker Capps.
Mr. Hunsucker was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the 187th Infantry and the Air Corps. He retired from Ammons IGA where he was a meat cutter and was a member of Open Door Independent Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Smith Hunsucker of the home; son, Joey A. Hunsucker (Lisa); daughter, Linda Jones (Glen) of Mullins; two brothers, Lee Hunsucker (Violet) of Asheboro, NC and Edward Hunsucker (Dorothy) of Manning; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
