Oleta Bender, 96, died on October 2, 2008 peacefully on her farm in Wise County. She was born October 22, 191 to Charlie and Gertie Griffis. She loved to travel and loved to dance. She was a retired cashier.
Survivors include daughter: Basha Blades; step- son: Jim Bender; sisters: Lela Duck, Genell Hopkins, Nelba Ruth Culverhouse; grandchildren: Diana Richey, Benjamin Richey and wife Ashley; great-grandchild Rylie Oleta Richey; dear friend Johnny Richey; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Gertie Griffis; two husbands Dr. Benjamin Zeldin and Jim Bender; two sisters and two brothers.
Graveside Services were Sunday, October 5, 2008, 3:00PM at Crafton Cemetery, Crafton, Texas. Kenneth Wood officiated.
