Gertie Lee Griffis was buried in the Crafton Cemetery Monday following funeral services in the Morris Memorial Methodist Church in Chico.

The Rev. Leon Milner, retired pastor the Morris Memorial, conducted the services. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hawkins Funeral Home of Bridgeport.

A member of the Morris Memorial Methodist Church, Mrs. Griffis died Saturday in the Bridgeport Hospital. She was born in Rice, Texas, October 7, 1893, and was married to the late C. W. Griffis in Crafton, November 26, 1910. She had made her home in Chico for many years.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Lela Duck, Mrs. Nelva Culverhouse, and Mrs. Reba Richey, all of Chico; Mrs. Oleta Binder of El Paso, and Mrs. Genelle Hopkins of Park Springs. Other survivors are two brothers, Ocie Stockard of Fort Worth and Troy Stockard of Newark; two sisters, Quilla Wells of Corsicana and Reba Murr of Amarillo, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Grandson served as pallbearers.
