Raymond R. (Bud) Moberly, age 87, of Washington died Monday, November 15, 2004, at the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the Jones–Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Gene Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow services in the Swank Cemetery in Lone Tree. Visitation will begin after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials in memory of Raymond have been established for the Washington Care Center or to the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington.
Raymond R. (Bud) Moberly was born on July 13, 1917 in Washington County, Iowa the son of Arthur Eugene and Clara Edith (Willtrout) Moberly. Raymond farmed in northeast Washington County. He was a life long resident of Washington County. Raymond is the last of his immediate family. He is survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
