Edith Virginia (Baxter) Dotson, 85, died Sunday, July 11, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The daughter of Sarah (Davis) and Jacob Baxter, she was born April 18, 1882, in Des Moines county, Iowa. In 1899, she married Oscar Brown Dotson in Wapello. Mrs. Dotson recently lived with her daughter, Geneva Gilmore, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded m death by her husband and one child.

She is survived by six sons, Theodore R. Dotson, West Burlington; Geo R. Dotson, Hayward, CA; Boyd A. Dotson, Silvis, IL; Mark J. Dotson, Portland, OR; Bert K. Dotson, Freeport, IL, and Kenneth J. Dotson, Spokane, WA; two daughter, Verona B. Walker, New London, IA, and Geneva P. Gilmore, Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Wilson Baxter, Sheffield, IL, and Charles Baxter, Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Moyers, Elks River, MN, and Mrs. Edna Peck, Burlington; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
