Mr. Mann was born April 7, 1913, in Monroe County to James A. and Martha J. (Fleener) Mann. He was married Nov. 13, 1933, to Mildred M. Perkins, who preceded him in death Jan. 19, 1959. He was married Feb. 20, 1965, to Eileen E. Fischer, who preceded him in death Aug. 10, 1994.
He was a former Whiteland resident.
Mr. Mann retired in 1980 from Todd-Justik, Indianapolis, where he was a truck driver for 20 years. He retired from farming in 1963.
He belonged to the Nineveh Christian Church and was a 50-year member of the Nineveh Masonic Lodge No. 316.
Survivors are: four daughters, Janet M. Gray, Boggstown, Sue C. Walker, Anderson, and Ruth A. Henderson, both of Franklin; a son, James Mann, Nineveh; two brothers, Delbert Mann, Morristown, and Maurice Mann, Cloverdale; two sisters, Hattie Ferguson, Franklin, and Maude Shutt, Carthage; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Two sons, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Vandiver-Tudor Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Larry Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery. (Obit: The Shelbyville News, Apr. 10, 1995)
