Hattie Dorthea (Mann) McMillin

Hattie Dorthea (Mann) McMillin, 93, died Friday, June 23, 2000, in Riverside, Calif. She was a resident of Riverside, Calif., and a former longtime resident of Franklin.

She was born May 9, 1907, in Unionville. Her parents were James Arthur and Martha Jane (Fleener) Mann.

She married Hanley McMillin. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a brother, Maurice Mann of Cloverdale; a sister, Maude Shutt of Carthage; several nieces and nephews; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Delbert, Charles, Hubert, Irvin and Clyde Mann; and two sisters, Delores Burroughs and Margaret E. Mann.

She attended Nineveh schools.

She was employed for several years by Varynit Mills in Franklin as a seamstress manager, trainer and quality control manager.

She was a member of Church of Christ, Science Sixth Church of Indianapolis and Edward G. Williams Association. She was a former member of Nineveh Order of Eastern Star and Professional Women's Business Association.

Shirley A. Sturm will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh.
