The Paris News, 1 Mar 1992, Page 4, Paris, Texas Hollis James Burns BOGATA--Hollis James Burns, 60 of Texarkana died Saturday, Feb. 29, at Wadley Hospital there.
Services are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. sunday, March 1, in the First Babtist Church of Bogata with Bill Pirtle and George Thomas officiating. Bogata Funeral Home will make burial in Highland Cemetery in Deport.
Mr. Burns was born Dec. 31, 1931, in Bogata, a son of Delbert and Minnie Lee Aldridge Burns. He was a construction worker.
Surviving are his wife, Henrietta; his mother who lives in Bogata; a son, Tony Burns of Texarkana; three daughters, Judy Etheridge of Texarkana, Texas, Lisa Shumake of Texarkana, Ark. and Lori Murphy of Texarkana, Ark.; three brothers, Billy Burns of Dallas, Jerry Burns of Deport and Ronnie Burns of Bogata; a sister, Shirley Francis of Wilton, Ark. and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Burns, Dec. 31, 1981.
