Billie Rex Burns, 74, of Dallas, TX passed away Nov. 2, 2009. He was born January 27, 1935, in Bogata, TX to Delbert and Millie Lee Burns. Billie was a Dallas resident for over 50 years and was retired from the City of Dallas after 34 years of service.
He is survived by his sons: Brian Keith of Dallas, and Billy Craig of Rockwall; brothers: Jerry of Deport, TX, and Ronnie of Bogata, TX; grandson: Brandon; granddaughters: Lauren and Ella; great grandson: Dylan; and great granddaughter: Kaitlyn. Billie was preceded in death by his wife: Rachel; parents; brother: Hollis; and sisters: Shirley and Barbara.
Graveside services will be held 11:00am, Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been set up at the Sammons Cancer Center. Please call 214-820-3136 for donating instructions.
