Mrs. Christopher Lillethun Called By The Great Maker
On Tuesday evening at about 5:30, Mrs. Christopher Lillethun was called by the Great Maker to her reward in the hereafter. At the time of her death she was 97 years and 9 months old, was the oldest person in this vicinity.
She was born in Norway on June 30, 1835 and was married to Christopher Lillethun in 1867 who preceded her to the hereafter, passing away in 1912. In 1884 they came to this country and settled in Wisconsin where they lived for a year. From there they moved to Otter Tail County in Minnesota and in 1898 they came to North Dakota, where she lived until her death.
Death was caused from old age and she leaves to mourn her passing three sons all of whom are living. C. C. Lillethun of Fingal, Tom of Williston and Knut of Boise, Idaho.
Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church of Fingal on Thursday afternoon. Interment was made at Hill Side Cemetery. Rev. Hegg officiated.
