Andrew J. Thor Dies At Sister Lakes Farm; Funeral Rites Sunday
Following an illness of a year, Andrew J. Thor, 73, a well known Keeler township farmer, died at his home at Sister Lakes Friday.
Funeral rites for him were held at the Methodist church in Keeler Sunday afternoon, with burial in the Keeler cemetery.
Mr. Thor was born in Hullcoba, Sweden, June 27, 1863, and came to America on April 15, 1881, taking up his residence in this section where he had since resided.
In 1884 he was married to Selma Johnson, who preceded him in death five years ago.
Nine children were born to them, Chester and Luther Thor of Beloit, Wis.; Martin and Fred Thor, Three Rivers; Mrs. Roy Slack of Decatur; Samuel Thor, Sister Lakes; and Mrs. Rena Swisher of Dowagiac. Aubrey died several years ago.
