Daughter of Samuel Hammond and Sarah Yarrington, wife of Samuel Alwood Hawkins, whom she married about 1821 at the New Village Presbyterian Church, and mother of Samuel Livingston, Sarah Maria (married Alonzo Hawkins), Charity Alwood (married Daniel Terry Overton), Eliza Jane (married Ezra King Williamson), Azariah Franklin, Charles Augustus, Erastus Worthington, and Mary Esther Hawkins (married Oakley Atwood Overton).
