Clara was the ninth of eleven children of Ludwig "Louis" Pflughaupt and Sophia "aka Mary Klassen" Pflughaupt. She was my great-aunt. Her parents and six of her siblings (Augusta, George, Emma, Louis, Frank and Alta) are buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo, Michigan. There are two of her sisters (Meta "Mae" Pflughaupt Schmock and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Pflughaupt Groth), and a brother Emil Pluoff buried here in Greenwood. The eleventh sibling, a brother Henry Pluehoff, is buried in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park in South Bend, IN.
