Beaty Kirkpatrick, 77, former John Deere Implement dealer in Tower Hill, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Dec 4, in his home near Nokomis. He was born June 28, 1887, near Tower Hill, a son of the late David C and Sarah Louvina Himes Kirkpatrick, and was married to Allie Fought in Newton on Oct 30, 1909. She survives.
Mr Kirkpatrick was a member of the Tower Hill Methodist Church and AF&AM.
Surviving besides his wife is a step-sister, Mrs Douglas Sickles of Pana.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec 6 in the Stumpf Funeral Home, the Rev Jack Stewart, Nokomis, officiating. Mrs Josephine Cannon was organist and Paul Throneburg soloist.
Casketbearers were Herbert Ullrich, Paul Blauth, L C Cannon, E E Cannon, Cloe Seitz and Don Woods. Burial was in Mound Cemetery. Masonic rites were held at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
