SARAH MATLOCK, 82, Of TOWER HILL, DEAD
Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Matlock, 82, of Tower Hill, died early Friday morning, June 19, in Huber Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for one day. She had been in failing health for the past 18 months.
Mrs Matlock was born at Dollville in 1877, daughter of David Calvin and Sadie Himes Kirkpatrick, and was married in April 1900 to Everett Henry Matlock, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Mt Pleasant Church of God.
Surviving children are: Clarence Matlock of Findlay, Mrs Mae Smith of Pana, Calvin Matlock of Nokomis, Mrs Marie Meyer and Earl Matlock, both of Tower Hill. There are also 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs Ida Fornwalt of Elwin, Beatty Kirkpatrick of Nokomis, Mrs Mollie Hill of Toccoa, GA and George Kirkpatrick of Charleston.
The body was at the Stumpf Funeral Home where services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery, Assumption.
