"Mural Calhoon, age 85 of Coleman, passed away February 21, 2006 at the Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 pm at the North Coleman Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Roberts officiating and burial to follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman.

"Son of the late Oscar Waterson and Nancy Ida McQueen Calhoon, he was born May 9, 1920 in Talpa. On April 26, 1947 he married Fannie Mae Steffey in Santa Anna. A Coleman County resident for all but 26 years, in which he resided in Clyde. Mural was a veteran of World War II, a Baptist, and a retired postal worker.

"He is survived by his wife, Fannie Mae of Coleman; Texas; and son, Robert and wife Judy Calhoon of Clyde; daughter, Nancy and husband Urban DeLima of Leander. Also surviving are three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

"The family will receive friends Thursday, February 23rd from 6-7 at the funeral home."
