"Fannie Mae Calhoon of Coleman passed away September 28, 2006 at Abilene Regional Hospital.

"Daughter of the late Arthur Leonard and Annie Kelley Steffey, she was born August 28, 1918 in Collin Co., TX. On April 26, 1947 she married Mural Calhoon in Santa Anna. He preceded her in death February 21, 2006. Fannie Mae was a retired housewife and a member of the North Coleman Baptist Church.

"She is survived by one daughter, Nancy and her husband Urban Delima of Leander; one son, Robert and his wife Judy of Clyde; three sisters, Wilma White of Coleman, Ruby Sumerour of Canyon Lake, and Thelma Barkemeyer of Coleman; and four brothers, James, Jerry and Richard Steffey all of Coleman, and Arnold Steffey of Golinda. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

"Fannie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Mural; two brothers, Doyle and Arthur Steffey; and one sister, Hazel Snow.

"Funeral services will be Sunday October 1, 2006 at 2 pm at the North Coleman Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Roberts officiating. Committal services will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-7 pm at Walker Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials are made to the North Coleman Baptist Church."
