Mr. Harry Garland Gass, the only son and the third of the six children of the late William Joseph and Alice (Worthy) Gass of South Muddy Township, Jasper County, passed away at the Lincoln (Illinois) Memorial Hospital after an illness of nearly a year.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 1966, at the Holland-Barry funeral Home in Lincoln. Interment was in Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
Mr. Gass was born Dec. 6, 1890. He leaves his wife, Bertha Birk Gass, and one son, Garland Gass, and two granddaughters, all of Lincoln. His five sisters also survive: Mrs. Nellie Wheeler Lincoln, Ill., Mrs. H.D. Fehrenbacher, Flora, Mrs. M.B. Elkin, Dieterich, Mrs. Ada Merry and Mrs. Truman Bickers, Dieterich.
