Born March 27, 1924, in Zap, N.D., she was the daughter of Jacob and Julia Lang Heine. DeLores began her working career as a teller at U.S. Bank, and went on to work in several departments. She retired in 1986 as a commercial lender at the downtown Corvallis branch, after more than 41 years with the bank.
She enjoyed traveling around the United States and to the Oregon coast in her motor home after her retirement, and loved spending time with her dog, Chrissy. DeLores was a devoted daughter and friend. She provided many years of companionship and care for both her mother and her dear friend, Norma Rentsch. She was active in her church, Zion Lutheran, and was the treasurer of the Ruth Circle.
DeLores was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert and Howard Heine, and her sister, Evelyn Kemp. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Darold and Ruth Heine; nieces, Sharon McMurray, Kim Kiely, Dana Thorn, Sandra Bakken and Sheryl Ferguson; and nephews Jim Otter and Blaine Heine.
A viewing will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, April 18, at McHenry Funeral Home. A memorial service is set for 11:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Corvallis. Pastor Ted Schaefer will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at Crystal Lake Cemetery.
