Martha Elizabeth Jane Holder married Jonathan Robert Carmack July 6, 1873 in Dunklin County, Missouri.

Robert "Bob" Carmack was a widower with two young daughters, Laura A. and Anna D. Carmack. Bob and Martha were married in Dunklin County, Missouri and later moved to El Paso, Royal Township, White County, Arkansas, where they were listed in the 1880 census.

Martha and Jonathan Robert "Bob" Carmack had four children, Pell C., Amie Estella, Ossie and Jessie.
Sometime before 1900 two sons, Ossie and Jessie and Jonathan Robert Carmack died. Martha was left with Pell and Amie and no way to support them. Pell went to work as a farm hand for a family in Faulkner county, Ar. a neighboring county near El Paso, White Co., Ar.. Martha moved to Van Zandt County, Texas to live with her brother James Holder. Amie Estella Carmack married George Alvin Lee July 21, 1901 in Lampasas, Texas. Amie and George had six children and Amie was expecting her seventh child when she had an accident, killing her and her infant son. Amie was born April 19, 1885 in El Paso, White Co., Ar. and died September 15, 1916 in Logan, near San Jon, Quay County, New Mexico.

Pell C. Carmack married Nannie McClanahan 1908 and they were living in Scurry County, Texas in the 1910 census. Martha Carmack was residing in the home of her son. They moved to Maricopa County, Arizona where they were listed in the 1920 and 1930 census. Their death certificates listed Double Butte Cemetery as place of burial.

Laura Carmack married John W. Laycook August 21, 1881 and had a daughter, Dora Sims Laycook who married her second cousin, Samuel Anderson Carmack, the son of Pellam Poinsett Carmack and Ann R. Fleming Carmack. Laura died young, leaving her daughter to be reared by her first cousin, Mary Ella Carmack Emison.

Anna D. Carmack married William Calvin Gaylor July 20, 1891 and died before 1900 census, Willian Calvin Gaylor was listed as a widower.
