Services will be 4 pm Friday at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home for Samuel E. "Ted" Barrett, 63, who died late Tuesday at his home, 1915 1/2 Exchange. Owner of Barrett Machinery Co., 1917 Exchange, Barrett had been in the machine tool business in Oklahoma City 15 years. He was born in Weston, WV, and came to Oklahoma in 1908. He settled in Dewey and lived there for 10 years. He later lived in Shawnee and several other state towns. While living in Shawnee, he commuted to Oklahoma City every day to conduct his business. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1940. He is survived by his wife, Kate, home address; one son, W. Hoyt of Duncan; two brothers, Hoyt H. of Swanton?, Ohio, and Horace of Vallejo, CA; one sister, Mrs D. B. Schwab of Weston, WV. Burial will be at Rose Hill.
