ALENE BREDTHAUER
HASKELL

HASKELL, Texas — Alene Bredthauer, 77, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, in Haskell. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Haskell with the Rev. David White, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes of Haskell.

Alene was born September 7, 1933 in Haskell, Texas to Will Weise and Lena Steinfath. She married Walter Bredthauer in Haskell,April 24, 1952 and was a lifelong resident of Haskell. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and she worked as a caregiver and served as church council.

Alene is survived by her husband, Walter Bredthauer; one daughter, Walene Bredthauer of Haskell; two sons, Brian Bredthauer and wife Deborah of Angel Fire, N.M. and Bennie Bredthauer and wife Vickie of Haskell; five grandchildren, Justin Hannsz, Clay Bredthauer, Kyle Compton, Ross Compton and Koby Compton; one brother, Leonard Weise of Haskell; a sister-in-law, Betty Weise of Haskell and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lillian Smith and Lydia Moeller; two brothers, Wilton and Curtis Weise and two nephews, Dwain Wise and Allen Dale Smith. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society, Red Cross, or Trinity Lutheran Church.
