Funeral Services will be held on May 25, 1996, at Zion Lutheran Church in Scotia, Nebraska, for Dorothy Meyer of Grass Valley, CA., who died on May 16, 1996, at Grass Valley, CA. She was 90.
Services are 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Paul T. Kern officiating. Burial will be at Seward in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Hess will officiate.
Dorothy was born near Scotia, Nebraska, on Nov. 19, 1905, to Herman Bredthauer and Mary Klein. She married Carl H. Meyer on Dec. 9, 1928, at Scotia.
She graduated from Scotia High School in 1924. She taught in the Grand Island area for a few years.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael Meyer of Scottsdale, AZ and Robert Meyer of Penn Valley, CA; and two daughters Katherine (Mrs. Larry) of San Antonio, TX and Dorothy (Mrs. Wes) Osthus of Clinton, IL; one brother, Alvin Bredthauer of Algonquin, IL; one sister, Mollie Long of Grass Valley, CA; sister-in-law Eleanore Bredow of Seward; 12 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
