Clarence Edward (Skeets) Bredthauer, 48-year-old former resident of Rock Springs, died Sunday morning, Jan. 2, in Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for 10 days.

Mr. Bredthauer had been living in Sacramento since his move from Rock Springs 12 years ago. He had recently returned to Rock Springs to attend the funeral services for his brother-in-law, Marion Evenovich and was taken ill at that time.

Born April 17, 1917, Mr. Bredthauer was the proprietor of tire supply in Sacramento.

Survivors include his wife, Rose, and one son, Gary J., both of Sacramento; one daughter, Norma K., San Francisco; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Fuss, Ord, Neb.; Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Meyer, Ottowa, Neb., and Mrs. Lillian Smith, Los Angeles; one step-sister, Mrs. Marce (M????) Long, Long Beach, Calif.; four brothers, Elmer of Ord, Herman of Lincoln, Neb.; A.E., address unknown, and William, Lusk, and one step-brother, Henry Leindecker, living in Washington.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 5 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Rock Springs. The Rev. Ronald Schutt of Green River officiated. Burial was at the Mountain View Cemetery in the family plot.

Pallbearers were Harry Wolfe, Fred Yenko, Henry Welsh, Walter Grass, Robert Saino and Michael Marino.
