FARMER HURT BY TREE SUCCUMBS IN HOSPITAL
Andrew Tesdall, 74, native of Story county, who suffered a broken back when a tree fell on him on his farm, four miles south of Ames, about three months ago, passed away in Mary Greeley hospital, about 5 p.m. Tuesday. It is expected funeral services will be held Saturday.
Mr. Tesdall was born on a farm near Cambridge. He attended high School in Des Moines, graduating from West high in 1885, following which he taught school in Story county and in Nebraska.
He was married in August, 1892 to Ana Lewis, the couple residing in Nebraska until the death of Mr. Tesdall's father. He returned then to the homestead and has been a Story county farmer since.
Besides his wife, he leaves six children: Leslie of Huxley; Albert at home; Jonas living north of Huxley; Mrs. Charlotte Larson of Huxley; Mrs. Glen Scott of Hollendale, and Mrs. Mattie Hanson of Oakdale; one brother, Lars, living near Cambridge and four sisters:; Mrs. Carrie Nelson and Mrs. Martha Raynes of Ames; Mrs. Ida Walden of Perley, Minn., and Mrs. Abe Sheldah, south of Huxley.
