JENKINS, Hiram L. "Hi", 2/14/1861-3/8/1931, inscription on stone: husband of Georgia Bledsole Jenkins. Grave next to the Charlie D. Jenkins plot.

Etowah County Marriages: H.L. Jenkins and G.A. Bledsoe married 24 November 1881.

Hiram and Georgia's children: Bessie, Fannie, Charlie D., Alma, Emma, Sudie, Willie, William M. and Florence per the 1910 and 1920 census. A. Jost Jenkins' stone near Willie and Hiram's graves. Infant daughter, Willie, no dates on stone near Hiram's tombstone.

On the 1930 census, Hiram L. Jenkins, age 69, was living with his son and daughter-in-law, William McKinley Jenkins and Bertha Rebecca Chestnut Jenkins and their child, Hiram Lafayette Jenkins-born 1929, and also Bertha R.'s son, John G. Reagan, and her brother, Floyd Chestnut. Hiram's family lived in Kansas Pct. (now Southside) in 1920. Georgia Ann was living in 1930 with her daughter, Sudie, and her family in Etowah Co., AL. Georgia Ann's obituary mentioned a lingering illness and perhaps, Sudie, was the caregiver for her mother by 1930.

Hiram L. Jenkins was a son of George Clay Jenkins and Elzira Massengale Jenkins. George and Elzira's children: Sarah Elizabeth, Elzira, William Austin "Bud", James C., John Thomas, Hiram Lafayette, George Clayton, Lucy A., Arthur B. "Bruce" and Baxter Greer "Bax" Jenkins.
