Grace Altena, 83, of Sioux Center, died Friday in a car-pedestrian accident in Sioux Center.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Duane Tinklenberg officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Altena, the former Grace Heynen, was born Feb. 20, 1905, in Sioux Center. She married Sam Altena Feb. 25, 1925, in Sioux Center. He died January 8, 1988.
Survivors include five sons, Senard of Mesa, Ariz., Wilmer of Rock Valley, Wayne of Ireton, and Stanley and Marlin, both of Sioux Center; a daughter, Mrs. Mario (Julene) Zeutenhorst of Sioux Center; three brothers, Hilbert, Tony and Henry Heynen and a sister, Mrs. John H. (Daisy) Den Herder, all of Sioux Center; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
