Dee R. Hairgrove Is Claimed By Death

Funeral services for Dee R. Hairgrove of Hereford, formerly of Spur, were conducted Sunday, Dec. 6,at 3 p.m. at the First Methodist Church. Rev. Cal C. Wright officiated.

Hairgrove was born August 5, 1894 and died December 3, 1953, as the result of a car accident. He had been an active member of the Methodist Church for many years.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Hairgrove; four sons, Van who is in the Marines stationed in Maryland, Roland of Sharon, Pa., Kenneth, a student at McMurray, and Mike of Hereford; one daughter, Shirley of Lubbock; his mother, Mrs. Callie Hairgrove of Spur; and one brother, Emmett of Parker, Ariz.

Pallbearers were Lawis Lee, S.C. Reynolds, A.C. Sharp, Dewey Ijames, W.F. Gilbert, D.J. Dyess, Marion Hurst and Lloyd Hindman. Honorary pallbearers were the Board of Stewards of the Methodist Church.

Interment was in the Spur Cemetery under the direction of Campbell´s Funeral Home.
